Handling the parts to be cleaned is simple and safe. The PCBAs can be loaded onto another cart while the machine cleans the first batch. This eliminates the need for the operator to lift and carry frames or baskets between the reloading point and the machine.

Quality cleaning requires perfect filtration and minimal cross-contamination. Each PBT cleaning machine uses a separate closed loop pump and filtration system for each individual process step.
The PCBs mounted in the oscillation basket are cleaned from above and below with a water-based cleaner using a fixed spray nozzle system in a fully closed loop through full mechanical filtration.
Machine performs short initial pre-rinse with the ready Rinse Water, pumps it out, and refills the tank with the external Rinse Water. Optimal setup for cost/quality balance in high volume cleaning.

Cleaning process is sensitive to many variables.
It is essential to monitor all process parameters such as temperature, pressure/flow, concentration, conductivity and time. A perfect PCBA cleaning result requires a short but powerful spray technology and a fast but thorough drying process.
The square layout of the fixed nozzles and the oscillating basket ensure highly reproducible cleaning results for every position of the part to be cleaned in the chamber.
The extremely efficient hot air drying system reduces drying time to a minimum.
The rinse water conductivity is monitored by PBT Works conductivity sensor. Machine automatically adjust rinse time according to water quality values.
The pressure and flow on the spray nozzles are continuously monitored by the control system. Values out of range typically indicates mechanical filter to be exchanged, or nozzles to be reviewed.
Water-based cleaners are mixtures of organic concentrate and deionised water. The optimum chemistry and its concentration is selected using the PBT Glass Test Board and confirmed by testing actual PCBA samples. The PBT machines then have several options to automatically monitor and/or control the concentration of the washing liquid in real time.
Online real-time concentration measurement system enables precise measurement of the concentration of Zestron cleaning agents in washing loop irrespective of flux loading. The measuring system is fully integrated into the control software.
